Current Situation

With approval from the LA County DPH and California DPH, LBS is operating in-person classes for grades K-12 on campus.

Please see the COVID-19 Safety Plan (CSP) below for details.

COVID-19 Safety Plan

Lancaster Baptist School is excited about finishing the school year strong this spring! We have been working collaboratively with the CDPH and LADPH, legal counsel, local education agencies, the California Interscholastic Federation, and other Los Angeles County Christian schools to make informed, thoughtful, and practical plans for the finish to the 2020-21 academic year.   • Inspection and replenishment of all hand sanitation stations - February 26

  • Discussion and preparation at the School Leadership Team - March 2

  • Update to all school staff - March 3

  • Institution of strengthened hand sanitation policy across LBS campus - March 4

  • Recommendation to limit travel over Spring Break and institution of strengthened staff/student illness policy - March 11

  • Modifications made to Fine Arts Competition to enhance hygiene and limit assemblies - March 11

  • Further modifications made to Fine Arts Competition by canceling the final awards ceremony - March 12

  • Baseball games canceled through April 11 in conjunction with the Heritage League - March 12

  • LBS holds a PTF giving parents instructions and communicating COVID-19 related information for the fall - August 16

  • The State of California made significant changes to its COVID-19 response on Friday, August 28. While schools in counties listed as "Tier 1" remain closed to traditional in-person instruction, schools may provide structured, in-person supervision and services to students under the Guidance for Small Cohorts/Groups of Children and Youth. Lancaster Baptist School will open on September 8 in compliance with these rules by providing a supervised care environment in small cohorts on our campus.
